Who we are

DBL is a private, invite-only Sunday basketball league in Boston. The app exists for our members. You can only create an account if a commissioner has put your email on the roster.

What we collect

• Account: your email, name, nickname, and jersey number.
• Game stats: box scores from our Sunday runs (points, rebounds, assists, and so on), recorded by SportsVisio, the stat-tracking service our league uses.
• Chat: messages, photos, and clips you post to the league group chat.
• Attendance: which Sundays you signed up for and played.
• Push token: if you allow notifications, the device token needed to send them.
• Usage: which screens you open and a handful of actions (sending a message, marking yourself in, marking dues paid, claiming a stat line), tied to your account ID — not your email or name — so we can see what the app is actually used for.

That is the whole list. No location tracking, no contacts access, no session recording, no advertising identifiers.

What we do with it

Run the league: rosters, stats, the leaders board, game-day teams, the group chat, and dues coordination. Nothing else. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and there are no ads in the app.

Who else touches it

• Supabase hosts our database and authentication.
• SportsVisio records game film and produces the box scores.
• Expo delivers push notifications.
• PostHog stores the usage events above (US servers).

Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Delete my account. It is immediate and permanent — profile, RSVPs, reactions, and read state are erased. Three things outlive an account, because they belong to the league rather than to the login: chat messages you sent become authorless (“a departed baller”), your game statistics remain in the league book, exactly as they would in a paper scorebook, and the usage events above stay filed under your old account ID, which no longer points at anyone. If you want stat lines removed too, ask a commissioner.
